Ypsylon Diving Centre is the dive base of the family-run Ypsylon Resort in Moragalla, Beruwala, on Sri Lanka's west coast. It sits right on a fine sandy beach with a sheltered offshore reef just a few fin strokes away, ideal for beginners and casual dives, while a daily dive boat reaches sites further along the coast for more experienced divers. Diving is guided by German-speaking PADI and SSI instructors in the Indian Ocean's warm, around 29 degrees C water, over reefs with a colourful variety of fish. The programme runs from a half-day Discover Scuba Diving experience to PADI Open Water and Advanced Open Water courses, open to divers from age 10; Rescue, Divemaster and specialty courses are available on request, with logbook and certificate included in every course.
