Aquarius Diving Club runs a PADI 5-Star IDC dive centre directly on the beach at the Red Sea Hotels' Grand Waterworld Makadi resort in Makadi Bay, Egypt, about 30 minutes from Makadi Bay International Airport. This Makadi Bay base has operated since 2013, part of the wider Aquarius Diving Club group that has worked the Red Sea since 1996 and today also runs bases in Hurghada, Sahl Hasheesh and Sharm El Sheikh. Facilities include a private beach and training pool, a shore-diving spot with direct beach access, a modern training classroom, an on-site speedboat, a Nitrox compressor, gear rental/storage and rinsing stations, first-aid and oxygen support, and night diving. The centre offers daily shore and boat diving, the full PADI course ladder from Discover Scuba through the Instructor Development Course (IDC), dolphin and snorkeling trips, and excursions to nearby dive sites such as the Salem Express wreck, Abu Hashish, Alex Reef, Ras Disha, Panorama Reef and the Shaab El Erg (Dolphin House) dolphin area.
