Varana Diving School is Varana Hotel Krabi’s own PADI diving school, offering comprehensive freediving and scuba diving courses. Training starts in the resort’s own Olympic-size, fifty-metre, seven-lane pool. Basic Free Diving is an introductory freediving course covering basic theory and practical technique in the pool. Try Scuba Diving is an introductory scuba session for first-time divers in the pool. The PADI Open Water Course is the first scuba certification level: a PADI instructor teaches pool skills, then moves to the ocean for open-water dives (4 dives total) to earn a scuba diving licence. The PADI Advanced Course develops navigation and buoyancy skills through deep diving and three specialty dives (5 dives total).
