About
Treasure Island Resort is a private-island eco-resort on Eueiki, in the Vava'u island group of Tonga, run by Mark and Veronica Belvedere since 2006. Accommodation is in eight traditional thatched-roof fales powered by solar energy. The resort is best known as a licensed whale-swim operator: from July to October guests swim with humpback whales in the calving lagoon aboard the resort's own boats, including the custom-built outrigger Tofua'a Moana. From November to June the focus shifts to snorkeling, kayaking, fishing, island-hopping and cave-swimming tours. The resort notes that PADI recreational scuba diving is planned but not yet available on site.
