Thresher Shark Divers (TSD) is a PADI 5-Star Career Development Centre on Bounty Beach, Malapascua Island, Cebu, Philippines, operating since 2004. The center specializes in daily thresher shark dives at Kimud Shoal, one of the only places in the world where divers see thresher sharks nearly every day, typically at depths of 12-22 metres with morning boat departures between 5:00 and 8:00am. Certified divers (Open Water or above) can join the same day they arrive; a check dive may be required for inexperienced divers or those who haven't dived in a while. Beyond thresher sharks, TSD runs trips to Malapascua's other 20+ dive sites, including Gato Island's swim-throughs and whitetip reef sharks, Capitancillo's wall dives, mandarin fish night dives, and the Dona Marilyn wreck, alongside strong macro diving. TSD teaches the full PADI course range: Discover Scuba, Open Water, Advanced Open Water, Rescue Diver + EFR, Enriched Air Nitrox, Specialty courses (including its own PADI Thresher Shark Diver Specialty), Divemaster, IDC Instructor training, PADI diving internships and PADI eLearning. As an independent dive shop with no resort of its own, TSD helps guests choose and book accommodation among several partner resorts on the island and can arrange private transfers from Cebu. Since opening in 2004, TSD reports having hosted over 41,000 divers and trained more than 13,900. Payment is accepted in Philippine pesos and major currencies, by cash, bank transfer, Wise, PayPal and other online methods.
