The Reef Marina is a French-run PADI Dive Resort operating two beachfront bases in Playa del Carmen, Mexico — one inside The Reef Playacar Resort & Spa (Playacar) and one at The Reef Coco Beach Resort & Spa. Run by Carine and Stephan, the center became a PADI 5 Star Dive Resort in 2013 and is affiliated with Project AWARE. It offers year-round recreational diving in Playa del Carmen, day trips to Cozumel and cenote diving, snorkeling (including whale-shark and cenote snorkel trips), the full PADI recreational course ladder up through Divemaster, and water-sports rentals (waverunner, catamaran, kayak). Both locations have changing rooms, showers, a classroom, equipment storage and a rinse tank on site.
