The Dive Shop has served the Kansas City area from Merriam, Kansas for over 50 years, offering scuba training from Open Water Diver through Instructor level with qualified PADI instructors. Courses include Discover Scuba (Try Scuba Diving), Basic Scuba Certification (weekend book class, weekend e-learning, or week-night e-learning, followed by pool confined-water training and open-water checkout dives), Continuing Education classes, Specialty Courses (Enriched Air Nitrox, Sidemount, Underwater Navigator, Dry Suit, Deep Diver, Equipment Specialist, DPV, Wreck, Night, Altitude, Cavern, Self-Reliant Diver, Gas Blender and more), and Professional courses (Divemaster, Assistant Instructor, PADI Instructor Development). The shop also runs a PADI TecRec technical diving program (Tec 40/45/50) for experienced divers, Emergency First Response/CPR courses, kids scuba camps, and scuba refresher courses for previously certified divers. The shop sells and services scuba equipment and rents gear (BCDs, regulators, wetsuits, tanks, computers, weights). It organizes group dive travel, with past and upcoming trips to destinations such as Roatan, Cayman Brac and Fiji. Address: 7300 W. Frontage Rd., Merriam, Kansas.
