Early booking price Open Water Diver- 16,000TNB - 465 $ The PADI Open Water Course is the most popular Beginner level scuba diving course. The course teaches you everything you need to know about diving safely, the equipment you need for diving, dive planning and how to have an unlimited amount of EXCITEMENT and FUN!! The course opens the way for you to discover the underwater environment and can lead you into a whole new world of adventure and maybe even into a new way of living your life – we all started with the Open Water Course!! The minimum age to begin the Open Water Course is 10 years old. Unless you take the e-Learning or Open Water Touch option the course takes 3 1/2 days to complete, plus some self-study. With e-Learning or Open Water Touch you can complete the course in 2 1/2 days. Upon completion of the course you will receive a certification to dive anywhere in the world with a Certified buddy, to a recommended depth no deeper than 18m. There are 4 Open Water Dives required for certification. OW Course Cert Card The Open Water Course is the first step of the ladder to a whole world of possibilities, including the Adventure Diver and Advanced Open Water Course. Day 1 follows the same schedule as the PADI Scuba Diver Course, completing the first three modules of theory in the morning before learning the skills during 5 confined water dives in the swimming pool after lunch. eRDPMLThe day usually finishes around 4.30-5pm On the second day you return to the classroom at 9am to complete modules 4 & 5 of the knowledge development, including the final exam. The day is shorter than day 1 and usually finishes around 1pm. If you choose to complete the Open Water course in 3 days you will need to fit knowledge development modules 4 & 5 into days 1 & 2. Open Water in Mango BayThe following day we will pick you up around 7 - 7.30am for your first diving adventure. Your Instructor will go through the equipment assembly with you before we then take you by speedboat to the beautiful island of Koh Tao, which is about 1 1/4 hours away. The first dive is a nice relaxing dive to a maximum depth of 12m to get you used to being underwater and using the equipment. After you have completed the first dive we take a break for an hour or so Next to the Fusilierswhen we serve lunch, which you can eat on the boat or on the beach. During the 2nd dive of the day you will repeat some of the skills you practised in the swimming pool, which you are required to perform for certification. We arrive back to Koh Samui around 3.30pm. Day 4 (or 3) also begins with a pick up around 7 - 7.30am. Again we take DA Logbookyou out by speedboat to complete your two remaining open water dives. Again you will repeat more of the skills you learned in the pool, but this time you will dive to a maximum depth of 18m. Which dive sites we choose for the second day depends on how comfortable you are and what the conditions are like at that particular time. Once we are back on Koh Samui you will complete the paperwork, fill in your logbook and receive your temporary certification card.
