About
Sunset House is a boutique dive hotel in George Town, Grand Cayman, a 15-minute walk south of town on a quiet, cruise-ship-free stretch of rocky shoreline renowned for shore diving. Billed as "Grand Cayman's Hotel for Divers, By Divers," the resort offers Courtyard Rooms and Ocean View Rooms, Suites and Apartments, all with fridges and coffeemakers, plus resort-wide WiFi, a pool, and the on-water My Bar (a 'Best of Caribbean' award winner) and Seaharvest Restaurant. Non-divers are welcome too. The on-site dive shop, Sunset Divers, is both a PADI and SSI 5-star operation and holds two DAN certificates for Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment. Guests and outside visitors alike can dive Sunset House's own house reef straight from the shore, join daily 2-tank morning boat trips, visit the underwater Mermaid statue, or dive the USS Kittiwake, a 251-foot, five-deck decommissioned US Navy submarine rescue ship and one of Grand Cayman's most famous wrecks. The Cayman Islands have 365 dive sites across the three islands, over 200 of them around Grand Cayman alone. Sunset Divers runs a full range of SSI and PADI training, from Discover Scuba and Open Water certification through Advanced Open Water and specialty courses (Nitrox, Deep, Wreck, Night, Navigation, Search and Recovery, Boat Diver, Equipment, Fish ID, Peak Performance Buoyancy) and the PADI ReActivate refresher. Sunset House also offers flexible Dive+Stay packages combining hotel nights with diving, airport transfers, daily breakfast, bicycles and a shuttle into George Town.
