Sun Diving Centre is based in Yakdehimulla, Unawatuna, on Sri Lanka's south coast. It was founded in 2014 by owner Ranjith, who has 35 years of diving experience in the area, together with his son Shan, a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer, and the center earned its PADI 5-Star Dive Resort status in 2024. The team teaches PADI courses from Open Water Diver through Divemaster, plus specialties such as Deep Diver, Wreck Diver, Peak Performance Buoyancy and Enriched Air (Nitrox), along with a Bubblemaker program for children aged 8-10. Certified divers can join boat dives, night dives and multi-dive packages at 17 dive sites reachable from Unawatuna Beach, including reefs, rock pinnacles and shipwrecks.
