SSI dive school on Summer Island in North Male Atoll, run by Diverland Maldives, an operator with more than 33 years in the country. The island sits on the outer reef, and the centre's own dhoni reaches about 40 dive sites, including Boduhiti Thila, Blue Canyon, Rasfari and Madi Thila, the atoll's largest thila. Manta rays feed here during the northeast monsoon; sharks and rays are seen all year. Training runs from Scuba Diver to Divemaster with multilingual instructors; daily snorkelling trips visit nearby reefs.
