About
Stingray Diving Center has run diving tours in the Antalya area (Konyaalti, Kaleici, Belek and Kundu) since 2003, offering discovery dives for beginners with an experienced instructor team, plus certification courses under CMAS, SSI and PADI. Certified divers can join wreck diving trips to the St. Didier French shipwreck, a WWII vessel sunk by a torpedo from English warplanes on 4 July 1941 about 1 km offshore Antalya Marina; the wreck lies around 30 metres deep, with the deck starting near 18 metres, and diving is open to holders of 1-star or 2-star certification. Cave diving trips visit Fener Cave on the Antalya cliffs, 150-200 metres south of the lighthouse, with depths from 3 to 8 metres, for certified divers only. Deep diving trips with professional instructors are also offered to certified divers. The discovery dive program is a 30-minute session with an instructor at the beach of The Marmara Hotel, including a theory briefing beforehand; first-time divers reach a maximum depth of 5-8 metres, while certified divers dive for 45 minutes to a maximum of 18 metres, with discovery dives running daily from 08:30 to 18:00.
