About

Stavern Dykkersenter AS is a diving centre in Stavern, Norway, active since 1994, combining PADI recreational training, commercial diving work, boat trips and a dive shop with workshop. It runs PADI Basic (Open Water), Advanced and Rescue courses plus specialty courses such as Drysuit, Wreck and Nitrox. Its divers hold class 1, 2 and 3 commercial diving certificates plus a Diving Supervisor certificate, and the centre carries out professional underwater jobs including boat salvage, towing, ship and pier inspection, propeller polishing, anode and mooring chain work, underwater welding, drilling, blasting, flushing/desludging and underwater concrete casting. For divers and visitors, the centre offers RIB trips, sightseeing and taxi-boat runs, with boat transport to Svenner Fyr, Malmøya, Viksfjord, Larvik and Nevlunghavn aboard its Polarcirkel 820, certified for up to 12 passengers, as well as guided dive trips to sites just outside Stavern such as Svenner, Stavernsodden, Rakke and Tvistein. The on-site shop stocks dive gear from brands including Aqualung, Apeks, Suunto, IST, Problue, Seac Sub, Beauchat and Poseidon, and the in-house service workshop handles cylinder pressure testing/certification, regulator servicing, drysuit repair and general equipment repair, alongside a mechanical workshop for welding, drilling, turning, milling and soldering work.
