King Cruiser Dive site : This car ferry wreck is now a famous recreational dive site. It lies at the depth of 32 meters in an upright position. The tip of King Cruiser lies at 15 meters. Till today, the wreck is still pretty much intact although some parts are corroded. A recommended way for descent is by using the marine line from the surface. It would take you to the car deck from where you would be able to enter safely. Objects that can be spotted are machinery, engine trolley , picnic tables and tyres. The wreck is covered by soft coral which houses many varieties of fish. Schools of Trevallies, Yellow Snappers, Barracudas, Tunas, Lionfish and Scorpion fish can be spotted especially at the bow. Turtles, Bamboo sharks, the Giant Whale Sharks may be seen as well. In addition, macro lovers would be very pleased as the King Cruiser Wreck is a paradise for nudibranches. Anemone Reef Dive site : The dive would commence by descending to the bottom of the pinnacle at around 18-22 meters in depth. The Anemone reef. The pinnacle is covered largely by anemones, large sea fans and sponges. Large schools of Tuna, Fusiliers and other Trevallies can be seen hunting around the pinnacle. Resident giant, white eyeand honeycomb moray eels can also be spotted. The Bearded Scorpionfish and Lionfish are frequently hovering around. Look closely enough in the cracks and crevices and you can find the Ghost Pipefish and the Tigertail sea horse. In the shallower waters, you would be able to see the popular western Clownfish “Nemo” and enjoy the beauty of the “Tomato” Clownfish. The Anemone Reef is located next to Shark Point where Leopard Sharks and Hawksbill turtles reside. Koh Dok Mai Dive site : Koh Doc Mai is a one of the popular dive sites where diversified flora and fauna can be found. An amazing variety of marine life is awaiting discovery. You would be able to find shrimps, pipefish, ghost pipefish and seahorse in cracks and crevices. Hidden amidst the corals are the white eye, giant, Honeycomb moray eels as well as the different schools of reef fish. Another highlight of Koh Doc Mai are the two big caves that can be found on the eastern part of the island. With a torch, you would be able to see the spectacular limestone architecture. Koh Doc Mai is a delight for macro lovers. Nudibranches are everywhere. Crustaceans such as crabs and lobsters can also be spotted. In addition, Pelagic fish, big Trevallies and Barracudas can be seen around hunting. Day Trip Itinerary : 7:30am – Pick up at the hotel and proceed to Chalong Pier. Transfer to dive boat. 8:00am – Welcome aboard! Breakfast is provided on the way to the first dive site. 9:30 am-First dive at King Cruiser Wreck. 10:30am: One hour surface interval. 11:30am: Second dive at Shark Point. 12:30pm: Hot buffet lunch on board. After lunch there is time for snorkeling and sun bathing 1:45pm: Third dive at Koh Dok Mai. 2:45pm: Rest and Relax 4:00pm: Back to Chalong Pier. 4:30pm: Return to hotel.
