Sharkey Scuba is a family-run PADI Resort based on Patak Road, Karon Beach, Phuket, run by instructors Iain and Oui since 2002. The centre offers exclusively private instruction (one instructor per student/group, never mixed with other students) for all its PADI courses, from Discover Scuba Diving through Open Water, Scuba Diver, Advanced Open Water, Rescue Diver, a wide range of PADI Specialty courses and the PADI Divemaster course. Daily dive trips run on large boats (20m+) to Racha Yai, Racha Noi, Phi Phi Islands, the King Cruiser wreck and, seasonally, the Similan Islands, with food, tanks, weights and accident insurance included. Course and trip packages are offered in tiers (e.g. beach dives vs. boat dives) depending on the destination and number of dives. Online booking discounts of roughly 10-20% apply to the standard prices shown. A Thai government National Park Fee (600 baht per diver / 400 baht per non-diver, per day) applies separately for any Phi Phi Islands trip.
