Sea Front Hatsushima

About

Sea Front Hatsushima is the Hatsushima-island dive center of the Sea Front group, based at 217-7 Hatsushima, Atami, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan. Staff dive the waters around Hatsushima almost every day, so they know the island's reef highlights, marine life and hazards well, and plan each dive according to a diver's experience and needs. The surrounding sea, fed by a current from the south, is known as a natural fish reef rich in marine life: soft corals, sandy and rocky terrain, and dynamic schools of colorful reef fish, alongside larger species such as nurse sharks and angel sharks, and macro subjects like frogfish, ornate pipefish, nudibranchs and jawfish. Besides the Hatsushima center, the Sea Front group also runs a shop in Futo (Jogasaki), a satellite office in Atami, Hirasawa Marine Center on the west Izu coast, and a dedicated snorkeling center on Hatsushima island.
