Sea Dragon Charters is a scuba diving, snorkelling and boating adventure company based in West Vancouver, British Columbia, operating out of Sewell's Marina in Horseshoe Bay. British Columbia was voted the #1 diving destination in North America for its biodiversity, and Sea Dragon's custom 40-foot dive boat, the "Topline", takes divers minutes from Vancouver into the emerald waters of Howe Sound to explore wall diving, pinnacles, canyons, drift dives, sponge bioherms and Vancouver's first artificial reef, the 400ft HMCS Annapolis destroyer. Divers commonly encounter Pacific octopus, wolf eels, nudibranchs and unusual fish such as the decorated warbonnet and grunt sculpin. The Topline is purpose-built for diving, with an on-board compressor, marine toilet, large dive platform, heated cabin and topside viewing deck, and the crew can supply a qualified Divemaster on request. Beyond diving, Sea Dragon runs a popular Snorkel, Kayak and Seal Adventure to the Pam Rocks harbour seal colony, sunset and morning sightseeing cruises, night diving charters, and guided shore dives. The center teaches the full PADI course path from Discover Scuba through Open Water, Advanced Open Water, Rescue Diver, Drysuit Diver specialty, Divemaster and TDI technical diving (Intro to Tech, Advanced Nitrox, Decompression Procedures), and also operates a retail dive shop with over 40 years of combined scuba retail expertise and gear financing options.
