Scuba-Naut Dive Centre is a PADI 5 Star Dive Center on the water's edge at Kg. Salang, on the north coast of Tioman Island, Malaysia. The shop is a stilted wooden building over the lagoon, right next to Salang Pusaka Resort, which the center partners with for guest accommodation (double, twin, triple, quad and family rooms, all air-conditioned with hot showers, a 3-minute walk to the dive shop). Salang is the jumping-off point for well-known Tioman dive sites such as Tiger Reef, Magician Rock, Teluk Kador, Bahara Rocks, Soyak Island and the Soyak wreck, Chebeh Island, Malang Rock, Fan Canyon and Labas Island, with depths from shallow reef down to around 30 m and the chance of turtles, blacktip reef sharks, and seasonally manta rays or whale sharks. Scuba-Naut runs PADI Open Water and Advanced Open Water courses as multi-day packages that bundle instruction, equipment, PADI materials, resort accommodation and three daily meals (with a BBQ dinner), plus fun-diving packages of 4 or 6 dives for already-certified divers. Tioman's diving season runs March to October; most island resorts close from late October to February.
