Scuba Luv Maui is a family-run PADI and NAUI resort dive operation based at the Mana Kai Resort in Kihei, with a second base at the Makena Beach Resort on Maui's south shore. Owners Steve and Diana Madaras are both PADI instructors with decades in the business, tracing back to the original Scuba Luv shop in Thousand Oaks, California in the 1970s and a run operating a 65-foot liveaboard out of Ventura before the family moved the operation to Maui in 2002. The shop keeps groups small and offers shore dives, night dives, scooter (DPV) dives along the outer reef, and two-tank boat trips to Molokini Crater, the wreck of the Carthaginian, and Lana'i's Cathedrals, alongside PADI certification courses from Discover Scuba through Advanced Open Water, Rescue and Divemaster. All gear is included with no add-on upsells, and December through May divers can hear humpback whales singing underwater on their dives.
