Jamaica Scuba Divers Ltd. is a small, family-run PADI 5-Star IDC Dive Center based at the Franklyn D. Resort (FDR) on Main Street, Runaway Bay, St. Ann, Jamaica, also serving guests from Negril, Montego Bay and Ocho Rios and from visiting cruise ships. The operation is a PADI Gold Palm center and a Universal Referral Dive Center, meaning it also honors dive referrals from SSI, NAUI and SDI. It is run by owner-instructor Headlan "Fruity" Feurtado, a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor, Master Scuba Diver Trainer and EFR Instructor with specialty-instructor ratings in multilevel, naturalist, boat, wreck, drift, photography, fish identification, peak-performance-buoyancy, navigation, night and deep diving. The team also includes Christian Rance (PADI Staff Instructor OWSI, Master Scuba Diver Trainer, EFR Instructor and DAN member, with specialties including enriched air, gas blending, equipment, multilevel, deep, boat, wreck and DPV diving), divemaster/boat captain Rory Brown, and boat captain Philip "Fudgie" Goldbourne. The shop operates by appointment via WhatsApp and publishes a detailed, dated rate card covering single dives, multi-dive packages, night dives, PADI beginner and continuing-education courses.
