Ocean Lanka Dive Center is based in Kandakuliya Kudawa, Kalpitiya, on Sri Lanka's northwest coast. All diving here is done by boat, not from shore, with trips to three main areas: South dive sites (about a 30-40 minute boat ride, with rays, napoleon wrasses and sea turtles on long coral reefs), Front Area dive sites (15-25 minutes away, known for soft corals and colorful reef life) and North dive sites (30-40 minutes away, calm 15-20 metre depths that suit beginners). Dive sites range from beginner and Discover Scuba Diving reefs at 5-10 metres to deep sand dives at 28-30 metres. Besides diving and snorkeling, the center runs whale and dolphin watching tours, kitesurfing lessons, kayaking, and a Wilpaththu safari.
