Saphira Dive is a PADI 5 Star centre in Vilanova i la Geltru, on the Costa del Garraf about 40 minutes from Barcelona, teaching in the Mediterranean waters just offshore. Courses run in small groups with close, personalised guidance, combining PADI eLearning theory that students can complete at home with confined-water practice and open-water dives in Vilanova. The centre offers the full PADI recreational path from Discover Scuba Diving through Open Water, Advanced Open Water, Rescue Diver, Emergency First Response and on to the professional Divemaster level, alongside children's programmes for kids as young as 8 (Bubblemaker, Seal Team, Junior Open Water, Junior Advanced Open Water). Saphira Dive also runs the PADI Mermaid line of monofin/mermaiding courses, guided dive trips and outings for certified divers, and talks and workshops on marine life open to divers and non-divers alike. The centre is recognised for sustainable tourism (Biosphere and Barcelona Destino Sostenible).
