Sandals Dive Center - St. Lucia is part of Sandals' Caribbean-wide scuba diving operation, rated by PADI among the top 5 most comprehensive resort dive programmes in the Western Hemisphere and responsible for over 140,000 PADI certifications across the group. Certified guests can dive daily (except on departure day) at no extra cost -- up to two one-tank dives, or one two-tank outing -- guided by PADI-trained instructors aboard a custom fleet of twin-diesel Newton dive boats. Equipment (Luxfer or Catalina tanks, SCUBAPRO regulators, Deep Blue Fins, masks, snorkels and weight belts) is included; wetsuits can be rented. Dives range 20-100 ft, with wreck and night dives available at most resorts for an extra fee. First-time divers can join the 3-hour PADI Discover Scuba Diving Experience, which includes one open-water dive up to 40 ft, or start the PADI eLearning classroom course online before arrival and complete the practical portion on site.
