Rising Sun Dive Centre is the first dive centre on the South East Coast of Zanzibar, Tanzania, and holds a PADI 5 Star Gold Palm rating along with National Geographic affiliation — the only such centre in Zanzibar. Groups are kept small: never more than 3 buddy teams per instructor, with dives conducted from a traditional hand-made mahogany Dhow. The 65 km of reef on the east coast is home to turtles, sharks, rays, barracudas, dolphins and whales. The centre offers PADI and RAID courses at all levels — from beginner Open Water through Advanced, Rescue and Divemaster — plus specialties including underwater photography, deep diving, drift diving, peak performance buoyancy, fish identification and enriched air nitrox. Located at Bwejuu Beach, open daily 7am–7pm.
