Rich Coast Diving is an official SSI Dive Centre and Career Centre in Playas del Coco, on Costa Rica's Pacific Guanacaste coast, with more than 32 years of local experience. From its base on the Gulf of Papagayo, Rich Coast Diving reaches the region's most exciting dive sites. Daily two-tank local trips explore the reefs and pinnacles around Playas del Coco, while seasonal expeditions head to the Catalina Islands for encounters with oceanic manta rays (roughly December to April) and to the remote Bat Islands / Murciélago for the legendary bull shark dives (June to October). Expect big marine life year-round — mantas, bull sharks, turtles, rays and dense schools of fish. The centre also runs liveaboard expeditions to the world-famous Cocos Island. A full SSI training facility, Rich Coast Diving offers everything from Try Scuba and Open Water courses up to Advanced, Rescue, Specialty and a strong professional programme of Divemaster and Instructor training. Beyond scuba, guests can join snorkelling and kayak tours, and book all-inclusive dive-and-stay packages with accommodation and activities arranged. Prices include equipment and taxes, and the centre is a DAN-supporting operation that takes diver safety seriously.
