Reef Haven is a locally owned Filipino dive center based in Puerto Galera, on Mindoro's northern coast, right by the Verde Island Passage. The team of PADI instructors runs the full PADI course ladder from Bubblemaker and Discover Scuba Diving through Open Water, Advanced Open Water, Rescue Diver, Divemaster and Enriched Air (Nitrox), with a strong focus on safety, patient teaching and marine conservation. Divers can explore over 40 dive sites around Puerto Galera by shore or boat, known for macro life such as frogfish, ghost pipefish and nudibranchs, plus reef sharks and turtles. Reef Haven also organizes trips to Apo Reef Natural Park, a UNESCO-listed atoll and one of the largest coral reef systems in the world, reachable aboard their yacht Caribbean Tigress with meals and gear included. The shop is known among past guests for a warm, welcoming, female-friendly atmosphere and well-maintained rental gear.
