About
RED SEA PROJECT™ is an international non-profit organization running a Marine Conservation and Education Center on Egypt's Red Sea coast, dedicated to protecting marine and terrestrial ecosystems in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aqaba. Its work combines scientific research, citizen science, biodiversity monitoring and environmental education, bringing together researchers, divers, students and volunteers in field-based conservation programs. The organization runs hands-on educational programs for divers, teachers and school groups — including a PADI sea turtle conservation specialty and an eco-school format — plus internships in marine conservation, desert ecology and nature conservation for participants seeking practical field experience. Rather than selling standard recreational dive trips, RED SEA PROJECT™ focuses on responsible ecotourism: species observation and monitoring programs, conservation volunteering, and environmental dive briefings for visiting divers who want to combine diving with marine conservation.
