About
Planet Ocean Galapagos is a PADI/SNSI dive operator based on San Cristobal Island in the Galapagos, running daily diving and snorkeling tours as well as land excursions. Its dive sites include Kicker Rock (Leon Dormido), famous for hammerhead sharks and Galapagos sharks; the wreck of a cargo ship that sank in 1920 in the port of Puerto Baquerizo Moreno, now an artificial reef; the beginner-friendly Darwin Bay/Frigate Hill; Whale Rock, a current-swept cleaning station reserved for certified divers; a technical cave dive reaching 33 meters; and sheltered night-diving sites. The team, described as bilingual instructors and divemasters, offers the full range of PADI certification from Discover Scuba Diving through Advanced Open Water and Rescue Diver courses, plus refresher dives for divers who have been out of the water for over a year. Standard tours include a dive/snorkel guide, full gear (excluding dive computers, which are rented separately) and snacks or lunch depending on tour length; flights, Galapagos National Park fees and alcoholic drinks are not included.
