Pioneer Diver is a bilingual (Chinese/English) PADI training center on Taiwan's northeast coast, based right across from Longdong Bay Park in Ruifang -- a 3-minute walk to the water -- with a sister outpost, GI Dive Centre, on Green Island. The Longdong center has its own dorm-style guesthouse, gear rental, sales and repair shop, free WiFi, a weekend shuttle from Ruifang train station, and a team of PADI Taiwanese and international instructors who also teach solo students. Courses range from Discover Scuba Diving through Open Water, Advanced Open Water, Enriched Air Nitrox, Rescue Diver, Emergency First Response and Divemaster, alongside guided fun dives at local sites and periodically organized overseas dive trips (e.g. Similan Islands, Komodo, Sipadan, Lembeh, Coron).
