Orient Pearl Dive Center is a Japanese-run dive shop right at the Muelle port terminal in Puerto Galera, Oriental Mindoro, open since April 2019 and run as a small-group, safety-first operation. The shop offers roughly 30 dive sites within 5-20 minutes by boat, covering macro, wide-angle, drift, wreck, reef and night diving, with divers grouped by level and experience. Beyond the local sites, it runs an expedition trip to Verde Island for advanced divers, known for a dramatic drop-off reaching 60m and large schools of anthias. Staff include Japanese-speaking PADI instructors and Divemasters, so courses and briefings can be conducted in Japanese, alongside English. The shop teaches the PADI course ladder from a half-day Discover Scuba Diving taster through Open Water and Advanced Open Water certification, plus an Enriched Air (Nitrox) specialty course. Facilities include hot showers, equipment lockers, camera charging stations and complimentary coffee and tea for guests between dives.
