Ocean Divers is a PADI Five Star Instructor Development Centre and Scubapro Platinum Dealer based in Bentleigh East, Melbourne, and the city's longest-operating dive store, established in 1972. The team includes a PADI Course Director, a Master Instructor, several Master Scuba Diver Trainers and technical and cave instructors, with courses and service available in both English and Mandarin. Training runs from Discover Scuba and kids' Bubblemaker and Seal Team programmes through Open Water, Advanced Open Water, Rescue Diver and speciality courses such as Drysuit, Enriched Air, Deep Diver and Wreck Diver, all the way to Divemaster and Instructor development. Technical divers can progress through PADI Tec 40/45/50, and cave divers can train with the CDAA (Cave Divers Association of Australia) from basic through advanced cave certification. The shop sells and services scuba, snorkelling and freediving equipment on site, including tank testing, and offers a strong social side through its dive club, monthly Dive Against Debris clean-up dives at Flinders and an events calendar. Ocean Divers also organises dive travel for members and non-diving friends and family to destinations including North Sulawesi, North Stradbroke Island, Kapalai Sipadan, the Maldives, Palau and Truk Lagoon.
