Mirissa Turtle Snorkeling Adventures is a small, locally run marine tour operator based in Thalaramba, Mirissa, on Sri Lanka's south coast. Its main activity is guided snorkelling with the resident green sea turtles found close to shore, run as a 1.5-hour trip with one guide for every two guests, snorkelling gear, and free hotel pickup and drop-off. From November to April the team also runs longer whale-watching snorkel trips, aiming to find blue, fin and pilot whales as well as dolphins; if no whales are found guests are given a complimentary turtle-snorkelling trip instead. A scuba diving option covers two dive sites with two tanks per outing and a surface interval with tea and snacks, and night dives are offered from 7pm, open to licensed divers to about 15-20m and to beginners under supervision to a safe 3m. The operator also runs scenic boat tours (2-4 hours, including sunset trips) and small fishing trips for mullet and deep-sea species such as tuna, all with pickup/drop-off and safety equipment provided. Alongside the water activities, the team runs a small in-house travel agency arranging private and group tours, airport transfers and hotel bookings across Sri Lanka.
