About

mic21 Umeda is the Osaka/Umeda branch of mic21, described on its site as one of the largest-class dive shops in the Kansai region for both dive gear sales and license courses. The shop is located at 3-3 Doyamacho, Kita-ku, Osaka (postcode 530-0027), about an 8-minute walk from JR/Hankyu/Hanshin Osaka Station, and is open 12:00-20:00 with no regular closing days, including New Year. It is a PADI 5-star store. For diving licenses, briefing and paperwork are handled at the Osaka shop while the open-water practical training takes place in the sea off Kushimoto, at the southern tip of Honshu in Wakayama Prefecture; the full course runs over a total of three days, after which the certification card is issued, and divers can go on to the Advanced Open Water course. The store also offers duty-free shopping for a wide range of diving, snorkeling and marine gear.
