Dragon Lady is a PADI 5-Star Instructor Development (ID) Dive Resort located inside Hotel Izukyu in Shirahama, Shimoda City, on the southern Izu Peninsula, Shizuoka Prefecture. According to its own site it has operated as a PADI dive center since opening in March 1990 and is now registered as a PADI ID Center, running the full training ladder from beginner certification through instructor-level courses (registration number S-5702). The shop emphasizes personalized, small-group instruction — including a slower-paced program for divers 45 and over (a doctor's note is required at that age) — and teaches in the white-sand, clear-water diving area around Shimoda. It rents Mares, Mobby, Gull, Zero-Zero, Aqualung, Kaila and BISM equipment and offers a free 3-day rental promotion alongside its standard courses.
