Madeira Diving Center is a family-run, SSI-certified dive base on Madeira, Portugal, operated by Felix and Carlota using rental gear exclusively from Mares. Founded in 1980, it is now run by the second generation of the same family with over 45 years of diving history on the island, and has been repeatedly named "Best Dive Base in the Atlantic" by German diving magazine TAUCHEN. The center keeps groups small and emphasizes personal guidance over mass tourism, offering everything from a first Schnuppertauchen (try-dive) through certified fun diving to a full SSI course ladder — Open Water Diver, Advanced Adventurer, Nitrox, Deep Diving, Navigation, Night Diving, Perfect Buoyancy, Wreck Diving, Science of Diving, and React Right & Stress and Rescue. The base also has its own holiday apartments for divers staying on-site.
