La Buga Dive & Surf is a PADI 5 Star Dive Center and surf school on Isla Colón in Bocas del Toro, Panama, operating since 2004 with over 1,300 Tripadvisor reviews. What started as a stopover for PADI instructor Ricardo became La Buga after he decided to open his own dive shop in Bocas Town, and the international team has run it ever since. The centre runs the full PADI course ladder from Discover Scuba Diving through Open Water, Advanced Open Water, Rescue Diver to Divemaster, using PADI eLearning for course theory, plus fun day and night dives, at sites including Green House, Machete Caves, Mystic Wind, Old Wreck, Polo Channels, Sashen and White House. Alongside diving it also runs a surf school and rents equipment, snorkeling and GoPro gear, and offers three guest houses for rent near the dive center in the Big Creek area.
