Kamalame Cay is a private-island luxury resort on Andros Island, The Bahamas, with its own fully equipped, PADI-rated Dive Shop on the resort's marina dock, staffed by PADI-certified instructors. The property sits about a mile off the Andros Barrier Reef, the world's third-largest barrier reef, with visibility often around 100 feet and access to deep Blue Holes and remote reef sites. Certified divers can book single or multi-tank boat dives in groups from 1 to 6 people, with per-person rates dropping for larger groups; no diving is offered on arrival day or within 24 hours of a departure flight. First-time divers can try a Discover Scuba Diving pool session followed by an optional shallow ocean dive, and children at least 8-9 years old can try Bubblemaker in the resort's heated pool. The dive shop also offers PADI Open Water Diver certification, privately or in a group, and continuing education courses - ReActivate, Advanced Open Water, Rescue Diver, Divemaster, Emergency First Response and Reef Rescue Diver - available on request.
