Isla Catalina Diving has operated since 2016 out of La Romana, Dominican Republic, describing itself as the largest dive center in the country and serving over 20,000 divers and snorkelers a year. Its fleet, including the boats Aeternitas and Gandalf (each up to 80 guests/40 divers) and the smaller Devel (41 guests/28 divers), runs full-day trips to Catalina Island's famous reef, The Wall, which drops from around 5m down into deep blue water, plus a shallower site called The Aquarium. Standard diving and snorkeling day trips include equipment, a marine park entrance fee, a buffet lunch and open bar on Playa Grande beach, and a dive or snorkel guide; private charters are also available for groups on a per-boat rate. The center uses ScubaPro equipment and multilingual instructors.
