International Dive Center operates within the Marinas Gaviota network, Cuba's state-run marina and dive operator, with centers in Varadero, Cayo Santa María (Cayo Las Brujas), Cayo Coco, Marina Oriente and María la Gorda-Cabo San Antonio. In Varadero the center offers more than 20 dive sites including the Cayo Piedras del Norte Marine Park, the first and only one of its kind, where sunken ships, artillery pieces and armored transporters were sunk to form an artificial coral barrier. It has SCUBAPRO equipment for its services, modern boats duly equipped for the activity and instructors with ample experience, serving beginners as well as demanding experienced divers. María la Gorda and Cabo San Antonio offer day and night dives with several departures a day, packages of up to 20 dives, introductory SCUBA courses and International ACUC certification courses.
