Hippocampos Dive Center is a diving base and shop on Bali, Crete, located about 40 metres from the town's main port next to its own dive boat. The diving season runs from mid-April to the end of October, and the center is open daily except Sundays. Programs cover the full range from Discover Scuba Diving for beginners aged 12 and up, through PADI training courses and referral/completion dives, to guided exploration dives for certified divers of any recognized diving organisation, visiting local sites such as anchors, amphorae, freshwater springs, canyons and caverns 5-20 minutes from base at depths of 5-30 metres. Refresher dives are available for divers returning after a year or more away from the sport, night dives run two or three times a week for previously briefed certified divers, and Emergency First Response training is also offered. The shop rents and sells high-quality scuba and snorkeling equipment and can wash and store guests' own gear during their stay.
