Hervey Bay Dive Centre is a family-run dive and charter operator based at The Boat Club Marina in Urangan Harbour, Hervey Bay, Queensland. It is a fully accredited, Ecotourism-certified PADI 5 Star Dive Centre, recognised with a TripAdvisor Travellers' Choice award and voted among Queensland's best experiences. The centre's signature trip is a guided dive tour of the ex-HMAS Tobruk, Australia's largest military dive wreck, resting on her starboard side a short distance from the harbour. Closer to shore, divers can explore a cluster of local wrecks and artificial reefs in the Great Sandy Marine Park, including the K'Gari Wreck, Goorie Wreck, the Three Ships Wrecks, Hardys and Simpson Artificial Reefs, the Snapper Grounds and Iron Maria Wreck, all rich with marine life. Private charters can be arranged for special occasions. Every winter, during the Humpback migration from July to October, the team runs dedicated Swim with a Humpback Whale and Watch tours aboard the MV Coral Gypsy, with wetsuits, mask, snorkel and refreshments included. Instructors deliver the full PADI course range, from Discover Scuba Diving through to Divemaster, Rescue and speciality and freediving courses, aiming for a personal, bespoke experience for every guest.
