Fundu Lagoon is a boutique resort on Pemba Island whose in-house PADI 5 Star Dive Resort, Dive 710, is run by a friendly, experienced team. Diving takes place around Misali Island and the Pemba Channel's coral walls, which drop to over 100 m in places, with average visibility of 20-40 m and water temperatures of 25-28 degC; Scuba-Pro and Aqualung equipment and 3 mm wetsuits are provided. The dive centre teaches the full PADI ladder -- Discover Scuba Diving, Scuba Diver, Open Water Diver, Open Water Diver Referral, Advanced Open Water, Rescue Diver and Divemaster (the last two by advance booking) -- and guides day and night dives to sites including Coral Mountain, Coral Garden, Mapinduzi Reef, Uvinje Gap and the Panza wreck 'Paraportiani'. Snorkelling equipment, kayaking and dolphin safaris are also available through the dive centre. Diving is sold as part of an all-inclusive resort stay (from $310 per person per night, based on two sharing); no separate per-dive or per-course price list is published on the site.
