Freedom Divers is a German-Egyptian run dive centre in Port Safaga on Egypt's Red Sea coast, operating since January 2007 next to the Toubia Hotel. CDWS certified and staffed by a multilingual German/English/Arabic/Russian-speaking team of instructors with thousands of logged dives, it gives easy access to Safaga highlights such as the Salem Express wreck, Panorama Reef and Abu Kafan, plus reachable trips to Elphinstone and Abu Dabab. The base is well equipped for both recreational and technical diving: 30 full rental sets, around 100 aluminium tanks in various sizes, sidemount kits, twin 12-litre sets, a full range of tech-diving gear, two AP Diving Inspiration rebreathers, first aid and oxygen equipment, a defibrillator and an on-site recompression chamber. Freedom Divers runs the full SDI/TDI recreational and technical course ladder, from Discover Scuba and Open Water through Advanced Adventure, Rescue Diver and Divemaster, plus specialty courses (night, deep, wreck, navigation, multilevel, solo and sidemount diving, Nitrox), SDI Instructor training, and technical courses up to TDI Trimix and CCR rebreather certification. It also offers multi-day dive-and-stay packages with partner hotels in Safaga.
