Expedition Dive is a small, guide-led scuba operation based in Sydney, run by owner-instructor Jason, who takes no more than four divers per guide to keep the experience personal. Rather than operating an expensive retail storefront, the business runs from a booking desk in the CBD and delivers gear directly to the dive site, passing the savings on to customers. Courses cover the full PADI range, from Discovery try-dives and Open Water through Advanced Open Water, Rescue Diver and a wide set of specialties such as Deep Diver, Wreck Diver, Drift Diver, Enriched Air, Drysuit and Underwater Photographer, up to Divemaster and Assistant Instructor. Guided shore and boat dives explore Sydney's famously rich harbour and coastal sites, including Bare Island, Shiprock, The Leap, Magic Point and wrecks such as the SS Duckenfield and HMAS Adelaide, with regular sightings of weedy sea dragons, Port Jackson sharks, wobbegongs and the resident blue groper known as Wally. A Dive Club offers members free monthly dives, and the operation also runs guided snorkelling and a flexible dive calendar, diving most days of the week.
