Dressel Divers has run a PADI (and now also SDI) dive center in Bayahibe, La Romana for more than 30 years, based directly on the beach at the Iberostar Selection Hacienda Dominicus resort and open to non-guests as well. All dives are boat dives, departing from the shop's own pier to local reefs and the St. George wreck just offshore, plus wreck and coral-nursery sites such as Coco Reef, Dominicus Reef, El Deseo and Guaraguao. The center offers complimentary Nitrox subject to compressor capacity, and average visibility of over 20 meters year-round. From its Bayahibe base it also runs full-day excursions to Saona Island and Catalina Island (for both divers and snorkelers) and a three-tank Divers Day trip to less-visited Caribbean-side reefs, all with lunch included. In July 2015 PADI recognised the company with Awards for Outstanding Achievement for over 75,000 PADI student certifications and 55,000 Discover Scuba Diving participants company-wide.
