Divers Land Dive Club runs a small-group PADI dive operation at Nilaveli, Trincomalee on Sri Lanka's east coast, with a sister base in Unawatuna on the south coast. The Nilaveli location dives the reefs around Pigeon Island (outside the protected national park), known for clear warm water, healthy coral, reef sharks and turtles, with short 10-20 minute boat rides. The team keeps groups small for personal attention and only dives when conditions are right. Courses run the full PADI ladder from Discover Scuba Diving through Open Water, Advanced Open Water, Rescue and Divemaster, plus specialty courses (Nitrox, Deep, Wreck, Navigation, Night Diving) and Dive & Stay packages that combine diving with accommodation and meals at the on-site Divers Land hostel, just minutes from the beach.
