Dive Union is a PADI dive center based at Kahuna Beach Resort & Spa in San Juan, La Union -- a coastal town in the northern Philippines better known as the country's surfing capital, but which also offers warm South China Sea dive sites with visibility that can exceed 50m in peak season (February-July). The shop is partnered with ScubaPro for its dive equipment and fills tanks with its own Bauer compressor, and provides transport to dive sites by road and speedboat. It runs the full PADI course range, from Bubblemaker for kids and Discover Scuba Diving for first-timers through Open Water, Advanced Open Water, Rescue Diver and on to Divemaster and Master Scuba Diver. Local dive sites include shallow, beginner-friendly reefs like Lingsat Marine Protected Area and Poro Point, along with the more advanced Fagg Reef, where a wall drops to a group of WWII-era military tanks at around 42m. A 100 peso per-person marine protected area fee applies at the dive sites in addition to program pricing.
