DevOcean Dive is a PADI 5 Star dive centre in Southport on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. Its two lead instructors bring more than 65 years of combined diving and teaching experience, with an emphasis on flexible, one-on-one style scheduling built around each student's availability rather than a fixed class timetable. Most local diving is shore-based out of the Gold Coast Seaway, a site marine biologists call a "marine superhighway" with over 600 recorded species, offering everything from calm, critter-rich shallows for photographers to night dives with bioluminescence and drift dives past turtles and rays. DevOcean runs the full PADI course ladder from Discover Scuba and Open Water through Advanced, Rescue, Divemaster and a range of specialty courses up to Master Scuba Diver, plus PADI Instructor Development Courses timed around quarterly Instructor Examinations. Beyond training, the centre offers guided shore dives and snorkels, underwater scooter dives, first aid and CPR courses, HUET (Helicopter Underwater Escape Training) and emergency breathing system training, on-site hydrostatic scuba tank testing and equipment servicing, and a social dive club with regular local and overseas dive trips.
