DC Explorer is a 100% family-owned tour operator native to Isla Mujeres, at least sixth generation on the island and second generation in tourism after their parents moved on from fishing. Based in downtown Isla Mujeres and registered with the local tourism office, the team runs public and private snorkeling tours to the Manchones reef, El Farito and the MUSA underwater museum, day trips to Contoy Island, whale shark swimming expeditions (official season 15 May-17 September, best around the full moon), fishing trips, and boat cruises and transportation around Isla Mujeres.
