About

Butterfly Diving is a PADI Five Star Dive Resort based at Sharks Bay Oasis Hotel in Sharm El Sheikh, on Egypt's Red Sea coast. Founded in 2010 by Usama Fathy, a lifelong water-sports enthusiast with a swimming, freediving and scuba background, the center has grown into an established local operator holding contracts with several excursion and tour companies. Its house reef sits just 20 metres from the center's own jetty, letting divers and snorkelers explore coral gardens and drop-offs without a boat. Daily boat trips run to signature Red Sea sites such as Ras Mohammed National Park and the Straits of Tiran, and a private early-morning shark dive by Zodiac is offered for guests who want dedicated time with sharks away from the main dive boats. The multilingual, PADI-certified team runs the full range of PADI courses, from Discover Scuba Diving and Open Water Diver through specialties like Deep Diver, Night Diver and Enriched Air (Nitrox), up to professional-level Divemaster training. Equipment rental (BCD, regulators, fins, masks, wetsuits) and Nitrox fills with 24-hour notice are available, along with nearby accommodation for guests who want to stay close to the dive site.
